Like all good day trips out of New York, this one started in the subway at some ungodly hour. For those of you who don't usually venture this far uptown, that's 181st Street. It's not clean and shiny - you have to travel about 100 blocks South for that sort of thing - but it gets me where I need to go. Besides, who doesn't like to start off their day with a huge whiff of urine? Suburbanites!
The Southwest tip of Central Park. Wollman Rink is around here somewhere.
This is typical of some of my favorite pictures of Central Park - tall buildings loom while city dwellers pretend to partake of "nature". So what if we're fooling ourselves? I have a full appreciation of an unnatural sort of nature.
Skate Team. No, that red-clad feller in the center is not Kate's secret love child - more like her secret boyfriend! That kid had all the moves - Wilt Chamberlain style. Here's Kate making her designs on him clear.
3.3 megs of Kate diggin' Pookie
Me and Kate. We're happy 'cause we're skatin' AND - bonus - it's snowing for the first (and what would really turn out to be the last) time all winter!
That's Pookie - Kate's afformentioned love interest. Go for it, Kate!
